'The Blacklist' Sneak Peek: Aram Is Conflicted About Alina's Personal Request

Aram is in the midst of doing the team's performance reviews, and Alina pleads with Aram to not mention her headaches in this EXCLUSIVE preview of 'The Blacklist.'

Alina visits Aram's office as he is assessing the performance of each team member. She inquires as to whether Aram has completed her performance evaluation. When she asks Aram about it, she becomes irritated.

"Because if you haven't already, I was hoping to speak with you first." "You know, give me an update on my condition before you report it to Main Justice," Alina says in this EXCLUSIVE teaser of The Blacklist's April 29 episode.

Aram replies that he was gearing up to ask her about her headaches. Alina quickly tells him that her headaches are much better now. He may not even have to “mention them” at all. Alina stresses that her headaches are “nothing like before.” Something has to trigger them.

Alina attempts to explain her reasoning without making Aram feel like he's lying in the evaluation. "Look, I adore my work. You already know how much I like working in the field. "I'm terrified they'll sit me down if they see that, and I can't handle that," Alina explains to Aram. Aram is clearly torn regarding Alina's proposal.

"I'm not sure I can leave it out completely, but I'll have to think about it." But I'll think about it," Aram says to Alina. That's all Aram can offer Alina for the time being. Alina thanks Aram and walks away. Being the next Task Force leader necessitates some difficult decisions.

Earlier in the season, Alina assisted Ressler in passing his drug test in order for him to keep his employment. After Liz died, Ressler became hooked to narcotics. Alina said she was "done" assisting Ressler until he started helping himself.

The description for the April 29 episode, "Laszlo Jankovics," reads: "Red inquires about the location of a former colleague." The Task Force is on the lookout for a criminal trafficking in illicit psychedelics." Season 9 of The Blacklist airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
